Xay Vue Lor

Xay Vue Lor, 50, Green Bay, died peacefully, Monday, October 21, 2013, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Born in Namai, Xiengkhouang, Laos, November 12, 1962 to the late Wa Yeng Lor and Xiong Mee Lee. He married May Lee Yang, August 5, 1984, in Green Bay. Xay attained his Master’s Degree in counseling from Lakeland College and worked for the Green Bay Public School District from 1983 until his illness. He loved soccer, raising pigeons, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Xay cherished time with family and friends. He was an Elder at Green Bay Hmong Alliance Church in Green Bay.

He is survived by his wife, May of Green Bay; 6 children, Meng Lor, Panhia Lor (James Vang), Pakou (John) Lee all of Green Bay, Pashia (Ben) Burke of Richmond, KY, Nou Chee Lor, Chufu Lor of Green Bay; one grandchild on the way; canine companion, Orion; 4 siblings, May (Tom Beu) Xiong, Pheng (Ma Lee) Lor of Green Bay, Pao (Maya Thor) Lor of Kimberly, and Kong (Shao Yang) Lor of St. Paul, MN; further survived by other relatives and friends.

Xay was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cha Vang Lor; sisters, Shoua and Mayia Lor: and twin infants, Tong and Mai Pa.

Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Saturday, November 2, from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. with a service at 10:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Sunday’s visitation will continue from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. with a service at 5:00 P.M. Funeral Service at 9:00 A.M. Monday at the Hmong Alliance Church, 1247 Mather Street. Burial at Richland Center Cemetery immediately following the services.
