Wayne L. Derbique, 85, Green Bay, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, at a local hospital. He was born July 9, 1933, in Green Bay, son of the late Louis and Ruth (Counard) Derbique. Wayne graduated from Green Bay East High School, and served his country in the United States Navy. He married Genevieve Bosetski on October 13, 1956 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Wayne worked 37 years for the City of Green Bay Department of Public Works.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting, tinkering, spending time at his cottage, and adored his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Genevieve; 2 children, Debra Gerhard, De Pere; Michael (Gina) Derbique, Green Bay; 2 grandchildren, Brienna and Annissa Derbique; one brother, John (Verjean) Derbique, Sun City, CA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Verna Georgia, Richard (Anita) Bosetski, Rosemary Vandenbush, Carol Bosetski, Doris Bosetski, Kathy Bosetski, and Tony Barrette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Catherine Bosetski; granddaughter, Mallorie Derbique; sisters, Ruth Wagnitz Sprague and her twin sister, Mary Lou Derbique; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Peter (Esther) Bosetski, Theresa (Norbert) Cisler, Stanley Bosetski, Marie (William) Rutten, Esther Barrette, Martha (Donald) Enderby, Francis Bosetski, Joseph Vandenbush, and Clifford Georgia.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Green Bay, on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 710 N. Baird St., at 11 a.m., with Fr. Anthony Cirignani officiating. Full military honors will follow the Mass. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
