Walter (Paco) Rothe III, 73, of Green Bay, passed away September 2, 2025, surrounded by his family after a long illness. Born on August 25, 1952, he is the son of the late Walter Rothe Jr. and Linda (Garza) Rothe. Wally graduated from Green Bay East High School the class of 1971. He was very active in the Green Bay Community Theater. Wally also loved his time umpiring for girl's high school softball, and made many life long friends. He loved fishing in his boat more than anything or watching sports of all kinds including the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Wally in his younger years played softball for a number of teams including 616 Club. He was involved in coaching Little League Baseball, and touched many young lives. Wally was a craftsman and owned his own furniture company A Bedder Morning. His super power was his ability to talk and connect with people.
He is survived by his son, Walter Rothe IV; granddaughter, Faith Rothe; five siblings, Debra (Dan) Petitjean, Rick Rothe, Yolanda (Mark) Maricque, Scott (Stacy) Rothe, Vicky (Dan) Miller; step brothers, Patrick, David, Roger, and Roy; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Becky Rothe; Special Uncle, Chuck Rothe; niece, Autumn and nephew, Steven.
Per Wally's wishes no formal services will be held but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cardiac Unit at Bellin Hospital and the staff of Unity Hospice.
