Robert J Euclide, 93, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born November 12, 1929 in the Town of Gardner to Fabian and Gertrude (Denil) Euclide. He attended Sugar Creek Grade School and then moved to Green Bay and graduated from Catholic Central High School. Robert was the owner/operator of Euclide Trucking, Green Bay, and Northern Brick Company, Marinette, WI, retiring in 1989. In the 1960’s he served as Town of Suamico Supervisor for one year, Town Chairman for 9 years with 3 of those years also serving on the Brown County Board of Supervisors. Also during that time he was a member of the Suamico Fire Department.
He enjoyed his hobby farm in the Town of Pensaukee growing corn, soybeans, a few pigs and had a horse now and then and always had a dog by his side. He loved his dogs.
Later in life, Robert spent some winters in Florida fishing. He also visited and fished in Montana, Maine, Alaska and Canada.
He married Carlene Belschner in 1951, had 36 years together before her death in 1987. He then was introduced by his sister to Anita Van De Ven. They were together until her death in 2018.
Survivors include his children, Rachel (Dave) Follett, Robin (Linda) Euclide and Cheryl May; daughter-in-law, Barbara Euclide; Grandchildren, Dan (Heidi), Robert (Kristin), Jeri and Charles Euclide, Josh, Brandon, Zak Euclide, Tom Melling, Jesse (Lisa) Athey, Tracy (Michael) Athey and Paula (Jeremy) Anderson, and Casey (Ray Guns) Scimemi; Great-grandchildren, Dan, Reese, Sam, Nathanial (Ashley), Kamryn and McKenna, TJ, Alexis, Max, Jacob Euclide, Annaliese, Ciara, Jackson and Hannah Athey, Jacob and Emily Anderson, Takoda and Landon Scimemi and Tony and Emberly Guns; Brother-in-law, Gerald (Patty) Belschner; and Anita’s son, Dale (Ruth) Van De Ven.
Robert was preceded in death by his children, Denis and Jerry; Son-in-law, Paul Athey; Parents, Fabian and Gertrude; and In-laws, Raphael and Bernice Belschner; Siblings, Francis (Emily), Arnold (Octavia), Charles, Blanche (Eugene) DeVillers, Adeline (Joseph) Hannon, Laura (Clyde) Fidler, Ceil (Don) Hopkins; and Brother-in-law, Roland (Judy) Belschner.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Saints Edward & Isadore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Road (Cty M), Suamico, WI. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM at the church until the time of the Mass at 11:00AM.
