Robert E. Haskins, 88, Green Bay, passed away early Monday morning, Jan. 9, 2017, at a local hospital with his wife and daughter at his side. Born Sept. 8, 1928, in De Pere, he is the son of the late Edward and Ellen (Cavil) Haskins. Bob graduated from De Pere High School where he excelled in many sports and went on to play semi-pro Basketball for De Pere Greenhouse. Bob also drove stock car for a number of years. Bob faithfully served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was married to Carol DeMoe for 13 years and together they had three children. Bob later married the love of his life, Mildred Marie (Monfils) Servais on Dec. 1, 1978, in Green Bay and was blessed with her eight additional children. Bob was employed as a truck driver for Olsen Transportation for many years where he was known as “Tall Feather” to the other drivers. Bob loved spending time up north with his family and dear friends. He will be remembered as a big man with an even bigger heart.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Milly; three children, Mark (Deanna) Haskins, Lori Haskins and Michael Haskins, and their mother, Carol Vandenlangenberg; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-children, Toni (Bill) Baker, Karen (Joe) Cisneroz, Vicki (Jim) Ward, Teri (Jay) Bartel, Mike Servais, Mary LeCapitaine, Jean (Bill) Fatla, and JoAnn (Todd) Koss; 23 step-grandchildren; 53 step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Roberta Konshak, Shirley Haskins, and Beverly (Joseph) Westcott; sisters-in-law, Delia (Henry) Kleikamp, Rita LaCrosse, and Lucille Monfils; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dottie (Joseph) Weber, Audrey (Cy) Holewinski, and Marge (Penn) Waggner; step-grandchild, Shannon Saldana; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Konshak, Doris (Clarence) Charles, Gertrude (Joe) Charles, Alvin Monfils and Norman (Mayme) Monfils.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday from 4pm until the time of the service. Memorial service 7pm, Thursday at the funeral home with full military honors to follow. Inurnment in Fort Howard Memorial Garden. Visit
