Rita J. (DeJardin) Joski, 92, New Franken, died peacefully at her home on January 23, 2014, with family by her side. Born on May 5, 1921, in Dyckesville, she is the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Bodart) Boulanger. Rita married Elmer DeJardin in 1939, and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1969. She later married Walter Joski, and he preceded her in death. Rita enjoyed crocheting, doing word searches, making booyah, and watching TV Land.
Rita is survived by seven children, Gary (Carol) DeJardin, Luxemburg, Gloria (Ron) Guilette, Casco, Stanley (Jackie) DeJardin, Green Bay, Carla (Jim) Brunner, Luxemburg, Rodney DeJardin (fiancee, Veronica), New Franken, Pete (Mary) DeJardin, Luxemburg, Roy (Kristin) DeJardin, Luxemburg; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Mike (Teri) Deschaine; one brother-in-law, Howard Kiefert; two sisters-in-law, Val Boulanger, and Evelyn Ropson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her spouses; one daughter, Sheila Deschaine; one sister, Odile Kiefert; and one brother, Richard Boulanger.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 7:00 p.m Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Kamke officiating. Burial at Robinsonville Presbyterian Cemetery.
