Richard (Dick) Marto

Richard (Dick) Marto, age 88, of Suamico, passed away August 11, 2021. On January 16, 1954, he married the former Rita Gokey and she preceded him in death on October 6, 2017. Dick was a papermaker for forty four years. He served in the United States Navy Reserves. Dick worked for the DNR part time as Deputy Sheriff for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, cutting firewood, and times spent with his family.

He is survived by his five children, Pamela (Eric) Nick, Cheryl (Wayne) Kolweier, Cynthia (Brian) Stoychoff, Rick Marto and his significant other, Kathy and Brian (Sheree) Marto; eleven grandchildren, Brad (Michelle) Nick, Kari (Michael) King, Kendra (James III) Campbell, Neil (Victoria) Kolweier and Jonathan Kolweier, Will (Samantha) Stoychoff, Chase (Jessica) Stoychoff, Evan Stoychoff, Nathan (Amanda) Marto, Thomas (Chelsea) Marto and Christopher (Darrellynn) Marto; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Carol Giovingo, Dan (Kathy) Marto, and Joan (Charles) Deuchert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gladys; wife, Rita; brother, Roy; granddaughter, Erica.

Visitation at at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield Ave West, Suamico, Monday August 16, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM followed by a luncheon. Burial at St. Benedict's Cemetery with full military honors.
