Randall “Randy” J. Jonet, 61, Green Bay, died peacefully at his residence on June 11, 2017, with family by his side. Born on January 2, 1956, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Irvin and Rosella (Vandervest) Jonet. Randy worked at New Tech Metals for 27 years as a welder. He loved competing in and watching enduro racing, local dirt track races, demolition derby’s, and NASCAR. Randy also enjoyed going to the casino, and was a passionate Packers fan.
Randy is survived by one brother and one sister-in-law, Gary (Diane) Jonet; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Donna (Joe) Linssen, and Carol Jonet-Wojcik (fiance, Vernon Wenning Jr.); his love of 35 years (the other half), Carol “Cookie” Frewerd; special brothers, David and Allen; special nieces and nephews, Linda, Julie and Damien (Angel, Zoë) Wayne Sr., Natalie, Kessler, Wayne Jr., Cole, Lori, Robbie; one daughter, Tracy Jo Frewerd; one son-in-law, Jason Brown; one granddaughter, Amber; one great granddaughter, Aiyanna; one son, Jason Jonet; two grandchildren, Christopher and Courtney; and his close friends, Kathey and Bob Nohr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Jessie Wojcik; and his loving extended family, Al and Evelyn Miller.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home & Crematory, 701 N. Baird St., Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial service and life celebration 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Burkel officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Randy’s co-workers at Tech Metals for their companionship through the years – they were more than family to Randy and Cookie. They would also like to thank the entire staff at the Bellin Cancer Center for their exceptional care. A very special thank you to the Van Pay Racing family for a personal and compassionate gesture.
