Peter P. Hendricks, 55, Oconto Falls, formerly of Independence, WI, died unexpectedly, early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2014, at home. Born April 9, 1959, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Bev (Hendricks) Sonsalla and Roland “Cowboy” Bebeau. Pete was raised in Independence by his mother and step-dad, Edward E. Sonsalla. He moved to Green Bay at the age of 15. Pete was currently employed with Samuels Recycling (now Alter) and just celebrated his 35th year working with the company. He was an avid Packer and Gambler hockey fan who also loved the outdoors. Pete will long be remembered for his award winning chili, chicken booyah and barbeque sauce. Most importantly, Pete was a devoted family man.
He is survived by his life-partner of 26 years, Debbie Fredrich; two sons, Peter Hendricks III of Green Bay and Doug Hendricks, of Long Beach, MS; two grandchildren, Bradley and Emma; five siblings and their spouses, Penny (Dan Schofield) Weaver of Strum, WI, Julie (fiancé, Greg Gamroth) Dascher, Eddie Sonsalla, Dan (Sara) Sonsalla, all of Independence, and Carolann Sonsalla of Green Bay; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents and step-dad; one sister, Amy Sonsalla-Broen; and one nephew, Germaine Sonsalla.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday from 3pm until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 6pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Newbold Cemetery, McNaughton, WI.
