Paul Anton Mayer, 77, Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Milwaukee, died peacefully on June 20, 2016. Born on August 16, 1938, in Milwaukee, he is the son of the late Anton and Loretta (Danes) Mayer. On August 5, 1969, he married the former Katherine Filapek in Milwaukee. Paul was a “Renaissance man” who enjoyed reading and cooking.
He is survived by one brother, Frederick (Carole) Mayer, Mequon; and one sister, Kathryn (Skip) Mueller, Delafield; brother-in-law, Jim (Laurel) Filapek; sister-in-law, Pat Ernst; and aunt, Carolyn Hahn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Nancy Lennartz.
