Michael Vlies

Michael Alfred Vlies, 70, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on August 13, 2023, in Green Bay. He was born on November 21, 1952, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Michael is survived by his partner, Lynn, his daughter Erica, and his son Beau. He is also survived by his granddaughters Lauren, Lindsey, Courtney, Claire, and Grace, his sister Mary, and brothers Bob, George and Tom. Michael is preceded in death by his father Earl, his mother Louise, his brothers Glen and Eugene.

Michael attended Preble High School. After high school Michael served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973. He then went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Following college Michael pursued a career as a fundraising consultant for local community projects. His dedication and passion for helping others made a significant impact in the community.

Outside of his professional life, Michael had a variety of hobbies. He was an avid aviation enthusiast and enjoyed flying as a pilot. He also enjoyed playing golf, working out at the gym, and bike riding.

Michael worshiped at St. Francis, where he found solace and community. His faith was an important aspect of his life.

Michael Alfred Vlies will be deeply missed by his loved ones and the community he served. His contributions, both in his career and personal life, will be remembered fondly. May he rest in peace.
