Michael J. Kuemmel (Kimmel)

Michael James Kuemmel (Kimmel), 80, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16th at his home. He was born in Milwaukee, June 18, 1942, the son of the Clarence and Arlene Kuemmel. Mike graduated from Preble High School, Class of 1962. He served in the US Army 1964-1966.
Mike was an interior designer and a partner with his friend, David Heindel in Heindel-Kimmel Interiors-De Pere.
Mike was a kind, soft-spoken gentleman with a love of flowers and his yard always showed it. He was also very artistic with artificial flower arrangements.
Michael suffered with Alzheimer Disease since 2013 and it progressed rapidly this past year.
Mike is survived by friend-partner, David Heindel; David's children, Lisa and Ralph Nelson, Laura Heindel, and Jon and Mindy Heindel and their three daughters; also one brother, Tom and Barb Kuemmel.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Arlene Kuemmel; sister, Pat Violette; two brothers, Grant and Dennis.
In keeping with the wishes of Mike there will be no public funeral services and burial will be in Reinzi Cemetery in Fond du Lac on the Kuemmel plot.
David would like to thank Unity Hospice and Lakeland Care for their care given to Mike this past month.
