Mary C. Pierquet

October 26, 1944 — July 9, 2023

Green Bay

Mary C. Pierquet, 78, Green Bay passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9th, 2023, with her family surrounding her. She was born on October 26, 1944, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Earl Klister and Catherine Tucker Klister who raised her in nearby De Pere, Wisconsin. She attended St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay, and went on to work 18 years for the De Pere State Bank and over 35 years working alongside her husband Mike as the treasurer and secretary for PRK Construction.

She married her loving husband of 49 years Michael Pierquet on August 25, 1973, at Old St. Joseph's Church. Their love always stayed strong through many smiles and tears. Mary was blessed with two wonderful daughters Katie (Brian) and Michelle (Joe), and three grandchildren Addy, Josh, and Griffin. She treasured being a part of her children and grandchildren's many activities and was so proud of each of them. She loved talking and laughing with her two son-in-law's and loved them as her own.

Mary cherished spending time with her family, especially her 3 grandchildren. She loved when her whole family would get together, celebrating birthdays, watching a sporting event, or spending time outside having a cookout. She was an avid Packer fan, loved all sports, enjoyed sitting by the water, car rides through the countryside, listening to the oldies, gave the best hugs, and would never turn down the opportunity to stop for an ice cream cone.

Her grandchildren would describe her as kind, loving, generous, helpful, independent and strong. She was a wonderful person who loved everyone. She was always there to support family and friends and had a heart of gold.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Michael Pierquet; daughters Katie (Brian) Wackwitz and Michelle (Joe) Ehlers; grandchildren, Addy, Josh & Griffin Wackwitz; sisters Jeanne Klister and Barbara Klister Smits, sister in laws Sharon Capelle and Linda Micolichek, and so many other dear family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Catherine Klister; sister Charleen Klister; brother Jerome Klister; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clayton (Agnes) Pierquet.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, July 14th at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln, Green Bay, WI. with a visitation at 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
