Mary Knight

Mary Irene (Frank) Knight passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2024 at the age of 91 at her home in Green Bay, WI. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

Mary was born on September 19, 1932 in Chassell, MI to Charles and Mabel Frank. She married Billy Junior Knight on June 20, 1953.  They had eight children together.

She was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were little, then going to work at Larsen’s Canning for many years. After retiring from there, she began to help take care of her grandchildren.

Mary loved to crochet and knit. She could make anything, even without a pattern. She also loved to read. Her greatest joy was her family and taking care of all the grandchildren. She always said it helped to keep her young.

Mary is survived by six of her children: Billie Gail Knight (Alan Naumann); Steve (Lynn) Knight; Darlene Knight; Marlene Salas; Leslie (Diane) Knight and Colleen Knight (Karl Kritch); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Knight; her parents Charles and Mabel (Jaakkola) Frank; three brothers, Robert, Guyen and Marvin Frank; five sisters, Sara (Sally) Buehler, Anna Kujala, Elizabeth (Laurie) Buehler, Dolores Schillerstrom and Shirley Burkel; and two sons, Stanley and Robert Knight.
