Mary Deprey

March 5, 1940 — March 21, 2020

Mary E. Deprey, 80, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at a local nursing home from Lewy Body Dementia. She did put up a great fight. Mary was born March 5, 1940, in Green Bay, daughter to the late Clarence and Helen (Smits) Maes. She graduated from Green Bay East, and married Daniel Deprey on April 28, 1962 at St. Mary of the Angels.

She worked over 40 years as a waitress at Riverside Ballroom, and babysat many children. Mary made many friends at Titletown Gym, played cards twice a week, and enjoyed her many camping trips and traveling with her husband, family and friends. Mary loved spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Dean and Colleen, Marty and Katie, all of Green Bay, and Glenn and Pamela of Illinois; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tim Basten of Green Bay; grandchildren: Abbigail (special friend James) and Nickolas Deprey; Dylan, Evan (special friend Lani), Levi Deprey and their mom, Wendy Deprey; Tyler and Kelsie, Travis (special friend Maeve) and Troy Basten; special grandchildren Heather and Tim McCord (and baby due soon), and Nicole Kurth; and her precious great grandchildren, Stella and Bronson Basten; brother, Tom (Bonnie) Maes; sister, Betty (Lee) Olsen; sisters-in-law, Sharon
Maes and Pat Maes; Dan’s family: Sister Connie Leteorneau; brothers: Jim (Mary), Wayne, Ronnie Deprey; in-laws: Donnie Collins and Jeri Deprey; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by Dan’s parents; her brothers and sisters: Doris Diny, Ruth Hartstern, Phyllis Doyen, John Maes, Jim Maes, Jean Fameree, Dick Maes, Frank Maes, and Larry Maes.
