Mary Kaye Baeten, age 65 of Green Bay, passed away after a long illness on Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1956 in the Town of Humboldt to the late Clayton and Betty (Banta) Baeten.
Mary attended and graduated from Preble High School and went on to get a degree in cosmetology. She cut, trimmed and styled hair for many years. After that she worked for sixteen years in the accounts payable at Shopko Corporate.
Through the years, Mary loved crocheting all sorts of wash clothes and other items. She enjoyed cats, even if they had to be fake, due to her allergies.
Left to cherish Mary’s memory is her sister, Kathy (Harold “Butch”) Beyer; sister in law, Sue Baeten; nieces, Chris (Tom) Beyer, Anne (Jeff) Lamers, Carol (Dan) DeBauche, Stacy (Tom) Norman, Gina (Chad) Kurowski; nephews, Pete (Christine) Baeten, James (Kristin) Beyer and Gregg (Megan) Baeten; and twelve great nieces and nephews. Her parents; brothers Ron and Joseph Baeten; and niece, Jean Beyer, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held for Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Malcore Funeral Homes-East. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Mary will be laid to rest in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery next to her parents.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the caring nurses at St. Vincent’s Hospital and to the staff at Edenbrook of Green Bay for all the love and care they gave to Mary.
