Marilyn Murphy

Marilyn Murphy, 79, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday evening, October 18, 2023 at a local care facility. Born February 12, 1944 in Indiana, she is the daughter of the late John and Vivian (Jensen) Wesley. A graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, Marilyn married James P. Murphy on December 28, 1968. They enjoyed raising their two sons, Jess and Benjamin. In her adult life, she was a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker, avid gardener, and reader. Marilyn was a lifeguard in her younger days and continued swimming for recreation throughout her life.

Marilyn is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jess and Judith Murphy; loving grandson, Max; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vivian; husband, James; son, Benjamin; and two siblings, Pauline Wesley Wanderer and Jacqueline Van Bellinger.
