Mae "Marge" Collins, 92, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 19, 2023, while surrounded by her family. Born April 1, 1930, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Frances (Queoff) Rockey. Marge attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Marge married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" J. Collins, on October 27, 1951, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Bob preceded her in death on April 7, 2022. Marge was involved in various leadership roles in the VFW Post #2037 Auxiliary and the Cootie Pup Tent #23. She also taught Home Economics for 11 years at St. Joseph Grade School, Green Bay, and was a past President of the NWTC Homemakers. Marge was a wonderful cook and chaperone for the Northern Step Drill Team for many years. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mom, and grandma. We will always remember her determination and feistiness.
Marge is survived by three children, John Collins (special friend, Sharon Cornelius), Colleen Roe (special friend, William Bergen) and Barb (Tom) Gellin; all of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Rockey, Green Bay; special "son" Guillermo "Gil" and special "daughter", Christina; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence J. (Agnes) Rockey and Donald W. Rockey; three sisters, Carol J. (Bill) Kuchenbecker, Shirley A. (Jack) Timm, and Mary L. (Dick) Nushart.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason Street, Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 4:30-7 pm. Parish Wake service, 7 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Visitation to continue Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 427 St. John Street, Green Bay, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass at 11 am, Monday, at the church with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, 2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay.
Marge's family extends a special "thank you" to the caring staff of Eden Vista, Unity Hospice, Grancare Rehab, St. Vincent 6th Floor ICU (especially Dalton) and the 7th floor staff.
