Lucille Radart

February 14, 1938 — January 5, 2024

Lucille M. Radart (Lucie), 85, passed away on Friday January 5, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1938, to Anthony and Violet (Larsen) Guszak. She grew up as a country girl since the family moved to a farm in rural Oneida shortly after she was born. Her family left the farm and moved to Seymour soon after she started high school. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1956, and moved to Sturgeon Bay.

She got a job working for a finance company and later a bank in Sturgeon Bay. She moved to Green Bay five years later where she met Myron Radart. She was working at Kellogg Bank (now Associated Bank). They were married on April 12, 1969, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (now St. Thomas the Apostle) in Sugar Bush. They were married for over 51 years.

Since Myron was a dairy farmer, she had to adapt once again to life on the farm, taking over the Radart Family Homestead when Myron’s parents and sister moved to Green Bay. Lucille quit her job at the bank after a while and became a full time mother and farmer. Once their four children were in school, she went back to work at University Bank (now Wells Fargo). She worked there for 19 years and retired in 2003. A short time later, she and Myron left the family homestead and retired to Green Bay. They did some traveling to visit her family in California and Tennessee. She also enjoyed their travels to Niagara Falls, Indiana, and excursions around the state of Wisconsin.

Lucille was a woman of strong faith and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. She spent most of her time raising her kids, working at her job, doing housework, and farm chores. She also took pride in hosting holiday meals and family gatherings. She enjoyed spending time with the family and doing activities with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Sandi (Rodney) Zellner; Joseph (Jeri Lynn) Radart and son, Isaiah; Victor (Brenda) Radart; and James (Lisa) Radart and sons, Caleb and Brayden; additional grandchildren, Briana, Brittany, Ayden, Tylr, and Joey; two brothers, Edmund and Michael Guszak; two nephews, Raymond (Vanna) and Robert (Tina) Guszak.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Radart; parents and three sisters-in-law, Celia and Betty Guszak and JoAnn Radart; her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Anna Radart; step-father, Herbert Houle.

Visitation will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5930 Humboldt Road, Luxemburg, WI on Friday January 12, from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Autumn Fields Assisted Living, the staff at Aurora Hospital, her care team at St Vincent Hospital Oncology, and Dr. Kathleen McDougal.
