Lima “Lee” Van De Hey, 98, Green Bay, passed away May 5, 2018. Born on September 2, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Emil and Anna Motquin. She married Walter “Jim” Van De Hey on September 14, 1946, at Saints Peter and Paul and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1985. Lima worked at Northern Paper Mill during WWII. She was a proud homemaker. Lima volunteered at Saint Vincent DePaul for thirty years.
She is survived by her four children, Jim (Paul VandenBoogard) Van De Hey of Kimberly, Susan (Mike) Urbancic of Green Bay, Rick Van De Hey of Everson, WA, Jody (Geno) Ahrens of Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren, Tim, Tracy, Jennifer, Jay, Cory, Abby, Lindsey, Jake, Amanda, Sonia, Riley; fifteen great grandchildren, Leah, Zac, Gavin, Bryce, Ihler, Elsa, Evan, Tulsi, Max, Sula, Heidi, Peyton, Zoe, Isla, Emmitt; three great great grandchildren, Kanzen, Rory, and Sophia; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy “Boots” Zellzer, and Muriel Motquin; many nieces and nephews.
Lima was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter “Jim”; great grandson, Mitchell DeNoble; sisters, Marian LaFave, and Rita Hutchinson; brother, Joe Motquin; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation at Malcore Funeral Home 701 N. Baird St., Saturday, May 12 from 8:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to niece Cheryl Voelker and friend Denise for their extraordinary attention and care. Also, to the staff of Unity Hospice and Age Well for the compassion they showed her.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
