Leatrice “Lea” Powers-Peot, 91, Green Bay, was reunited with loved ones in Heaven, after passing away at home on March 26, 2017, with family by her side. Born on July 21, 1925, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Richard and Hazel (Sinkler) Lampereur. On June 25, 1949, she married John E. “Jack” Powers, PhD at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1993. She married Peter Peot in October 15, 1994, and he preceded her in death on August 4, 2004. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and entertaining friends and family. Lea also cherished taking road trips with Jack, especially spending time outdoors at the cabin in Canada and at the family tree farm. Lea will be remembered for the love that she shared with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Lea is survived by five children, Greg (Julie) Powers, Sharpsville, IN, Blane (Tina) Powers, Tomahawk, Dane (Dorothy) Powers, Rhinelander, Brian (Kelly) Powers, and Pam (Steve) Dimmer, both of Green Bay; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouses, Jack and Peter; parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Dick” (Gen) Lampereur; and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
