Judy Gurley, 71, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 18, 2016 at her home with her loving family at her side, after a courageous seven year battle with cancer. Born December 31, 1944 in Green Bay, WI she is the daughter of the late Bill and Pearl (Laes) Coppersmith. Judy married Ken Gurley, March 20, 1965 in Downey, Calif. His job took them to South Carolina for over 30 years where Judy worked as a Nurse for 18 years. They moved back to Green Bay after retirement in l996. Judy loved to travel by motor home, playing bingo and slots and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in De Pere, WI.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ken; two children, daughter, Cindy (Rich) Cronin, grandchildren, Casey, Haley and Patrick Cronin of Ocala, FL. Son, David Gurley, of Overland Park, KS, grandchildren, Ryan, Tanner and Chase Gurley; two great grandchildren, Silas and Jude Gurley; her sister, Darlene Pelch, Green Bay, WI; niece, Terry (Chuck) Crawford of Green Bay, WI; nephew, Jim (Midge) Pelch of Brush Prairie, WA; mother-in-law Velma Robinson; sister-in-law, Brenda (Randy) Lazorchak of Marion, IL; and special cousin, Janice (Mel) VanDeveld of Green Bay, WI.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Wilfred (Bill) Coppersmith and her brother, Bill Coppersmith.
Visitation at Our Lady of Lourdes, 1307 Lourdes Ave., De Pere, Friday, November 25, 2016 from 9 A.M. until time of service. Memorial services at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Tim Shillcox, O.Praem. officiating. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, West Main St., De Pere, WI. November 25, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is caring for the family.
