Joyce (Pat) DeGroot, 93, Green Bay, passed away peacefully March 25, 2017. Born in Green Bay on September 13, 1923. Graduated from Menominee High School class of 1941. She married Bernard DeGroot on September 23, 1942 at St. Ann’s Parish in Menominee, Michigan and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1991. Pat enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, traveling, sports events, and times spent with family and friends. She was also an avid Packer, Badger and Brewers fan. She had been a member of VFW Auxiliary #2037, Sullivan Wallen Post, and Cooties.
She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Bernard DeGroot Jr. of Green Bay, Jerry (Chris) DeGroot of Green Bay, Diane (Al) Leidig of Two Rivers, WI, Patricia (Harley) Bopray of Algoma, Bill (Pam) DeGroot of Oshkosh, Mary (Russ) Fairbanks of Rogers City, MI, Rick (Annette) DeGroot of Kewaskum, WI and Ellen (Greg) Drossart of Green Bay; one daughter-in-law, Maureen O’ Kane; twenty six grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Loyce and Gene Janquart, and Nancy Nelson; many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; one son, Ron DeGroot; daughter-in-law, Cheryl DeGroot; grandson, Brent Vroman and great grandson, Ethan DeGroot.
Visitation at St John the Baptist Catholic Church 2597 Glendale Ave, Tuesday March 28, from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial at King Veterans Cemetery.
