Joseph Ervin Musial, 67, Algoma, died unexpectedly at his home on January 27, 2021. The family is grieving his sudden passing.
Joe was born on March 11, 1953 to Ervin Musial and Angeline O’Konski Musial. Joe attended East High School in Green Bay and worked for the Green Bay & Western Railroad for 20 years.
From a young age, Joe had an immense love and respect of nature. Joe had the amazing ability to identify any plant, tree, or bird upon sight or sound. He often brought binoculars with him when he explored nature. He was self-taught in many areas. Joe’s passion was safeguarding the environment and respecting the Earth. He urged others to do so too.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom.
He is survived by his fiancée, Mary Ludlow; his son, Ben (fiancée Amanda) Archiquette; his sisters, Linda Musial-Lintner of Rosemont, MN, and Bonnie (Jack) of Fitchburg, WI; his brothers, Paul and Mark of Green Bay, and Steve (Holly) of Kiel, WI; nieces and nephews, TJ, James, Michael, Todd, Sara, Taylor, Jamie, and Nicole; great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, with a visitation beginning at 11am until the time of the service. The service will begin at 1pm. Burial in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Kewaunee. Due to our current health environment, please remember to wear a mask and to socially distance.
