Joseph “Joe” Lee Long, 53, of Green Bay, went to the Creator unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home. Joe was born on November 9, 1964 in Sheboygan to Donald and Judith (LaRock) Long. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, playing guitar, music, and was an avid Packer fan. His family called him the touchtone king because he won so much on Y100. Joe also enjoyed woodcarving peace pipes, looms, shelves and an assortment of other things. He loved bonfires and being up north in the outdoors.
Joe is survived by his fiancée of over 40 years, Christine Nicholas; 3 children: Jennifer (fiancée Keith House) Nicholas, Vincent Long and Joseph Long; his mother, Judith Long; 4 siblings: Dana Long, Debra (Eric) Krone, Lisa (Wayne) Pickard and Glenda (Ed) Long; 4 grandchildren: Patrick, Garnet, Christopher and Glen; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Donald Long; 3 siblings: Steven, Julie and Garnet; daughter Christine.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Joe will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
