Janis J. Zimmerman, 86, Green Bay, passed away at home, early Saturday morning, Sept. 30, 2017. Born May 28, 1931, in Tilleda, WI, she is the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Schwartz) Kloth. Janis is a graduate of Bowler High School. She married William “Zip” Zimmerman on Nov. 10, 1951, in Tilleda, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2002. Janis and William had owned and operated Club Chalet for a number of years and currently Ziggey’s Inn. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of cooking, crocheting, painting, watching the hummingbirds and cardinals, but mostly for her love of family.
Janis is survived by her eight children and spouses, Billy (Wendy) Zimmerman, Kewaunee, Steven Zimmerman, Green Bay, Debra (Bob) LeCaptain, Green Bay, Mary (Peter) DeJardin, Luxemburg, Jodi Bouche, Green Bay, Benji (Sherry) Zimmerman, Green Bay, Janal (Jerry) Hendricks, Green Bay, and Randy Zimmerman, Green Bay; grandchildren, Jim (Bridgett) LeCaptain, Kristal (Luke) Ferron, Eric (Courtney) DeJardin, Gina (Ben) Mleziva, Tiffany (Mike) Faltynski, Brittney (Brandon) Stone, Avery DeJardin, Camen (Miranda) DeJardin, Branden (Noel) Zimmerman, Macaine (Sarah) Bouche, Summer (Scott) Fisher, Stephanie (Dean) Christl, Amanda (Ben) Juncer, Bailey Zimmerman, Jennifer (Joe) Wertel; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, William; and one sister and brother-in-law, Norma (Bob) Stieghorst.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, from 4-8pm. Funeral service 7pm Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Amanda Nesvold officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
