Forever in our Hearts, Ian Betancourt-Medrano
Ian Betancourt-Medrano, age 24, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a heart condition on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024.
Ian has always been special, beginning with being born on a leap year, February 29, 2000 in Green Bay, WI. He was a son to Stephanie Arias and Efrain Betancourt-Medrano. Ian was a graduate from Green Bay West High School in 2018. Ian was always so passionate for his work and only prepared his best products. Ian spent many years being a cook and just recently received a Sous Chef position. He truly was meant to be in a kitchen. He left his legacy at Rivers Bend, 888 Cheese & CO, and currently The Walnut Room at The Hotel Northland. Ian was also an amazing, loving father to his son, Ezekiel.
Ian took the most pride in being a father and a hard-working chef. When he wasn't creating masterpieces at work, he was creating lifelong memories with his family. Ian has always been a family man and loved his mother, father, brothers, and sisters so much. He always made sure everyone was comfortable. Ian loved to draw, play video games, listen to music, go to concerts, have cookouts, and spend quality time with friends and family. Ian was a kind soul, with the funniest personality. If you ever got a meme from him, you will understand!
Ian was survived by many relatives and friends who loved him so much.
