Henrietta (Etta) Mary Deprey, 82, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at a local hospital. She was born locally on June 19, 1939 to the late Alvin and Odile (De Broux) Conard. Etta graduated from Green Bay East High School, and married James J. Deprey on November 7, 1959 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2013. Etta worked as an office manager for Wisconsin Orthopedics for over 20 years but was most remembered for driving school bus within the community.
Etta enjoyed golfing, cross country skiing, bowling, dancing, exercising at the YMCA, and spending time at the cottage enjoying the outdoors. She particularly loved bicycling. In retirement, Etta completed seventeen week-long bike rides throughout Wisconsin, each ride averaging 300 miles. In recent years, she completed 50-mile rides to Door County. She was also a devout member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church where she was a care minister. Her energy was motivation to many while helping friends and family in need and regularly volunteering within the community. After the passing of her husband, Etta met Bob Krueger. They found companionship within the last eight years and enjoyed polka dancing every Sunday.
She will be deeply missed by her four children: Lori (Dave) Destree, Todd (Lorri) Deprey, Keith (Margaret) Deprey, all of Green Bay, and Eric (Andrea) Deprey of Prior Lake, MN; 8 grandchildren: Mathew (Katie) Destree, Erin (Chris) Rottier, Olivia Deprey, Haley (fiancé-Spencer Kuehl) Deprey, Adeline and Everett Deprey, and Justin and Sydney Lee; 4 great-grandchildren, Declan, Graham, Emeric, and Hazel; sister, Pat Heim; and a brother, Larry (Bonnie) Conard; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna Deprey, Tom Seidl, Carol Conard, Marilyn Conard, and Janice Conard; many nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Bob Krueger.
In addition to her parents and husband, Etta was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Kermit, Kenneth, Cletus, Lyle, and Tara Johnson.
Family and friends may call Friday, December 3, 2021, from 9:30 am. until the hour of Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, Green Bay, with Fr. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at
