Helen L. Schampers, 90, Green Bay, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 12,2019, at a Kaukauna nursing home.
Born May 20,1929 in Oconto Falls, she is the daughter of the late Richard and Hilda Busse. Helen married Vernon Schampers in June 1948 in Green Bay and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2018. She had worked for many years at Green Bay East High School. Helen was a long time member of Saint Willebrord Church. Helen will be remembered for her love of her dogs, health club and the many students at East High. She enjoyed dancing the Polka with her dear husband, Vernon.
Helen is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Marsha Schampers and Cynthia (Mark) Buhl; several grandchildren; and sisters-in law and a bother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Vernon; one son, Jimmy Schampers; and three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, from 9am until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 11am at the funeral home with Father Ken DeGroot, O.Praem. officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
