Harriet K. Van Laanen, 93, town of Scott passed away August 15, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on December 22, 1931, she is the daughter of the late Harry and Esta Kersey. On October 1, 1955, she married Ambrose (Sonny) Van Laanen at St. Louis Church-Dyckesville and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2013. Harriet was a long-time member of Holy Cross Church-Bay Settlement. She enjoyed gardening and decorating. Her greatest achievement in life was her family.
She is survived six children, Cheri Luckenbill of Green Bay , Judy (Dave) Degeneffe from Twin Bridges, Dave (Linda) Van Laanen of Green Bay, Craig (Harold) Van Laanen, North Carolina, Dawn Van Laanen of Green Bay , Scott (Jane) Van Laanen, of Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Christopher (Velecia) Luckenbill, Holly Gering, Angela (Mark) Patel, Charlie (Sara) Van Laanen, Susie (Kevin) Van Laanen, Tony (Donna) Van Laanen, Jarred (Stacey) Van Laanen , Autumn (Jason) Strazishar, Josh (Carly) Van Laanen, Katie (Luke) Van Laanen-Steckel; twenty two great grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Louis, Toby, Remi, Jayden, Jaxon, Maverick, Lily, Wyatt, Keira, Bailey, Mason, Bristol, Chloe, Axel, and Grace, Ethan and Brooks, Dorothy, Walter, and Theo.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose; parents; mother and father-in-law, Maryleen and Earl Van Laanen; brother, Harold Kersey; son and daughter-in-law, Birke Luckenbill, and Terri Van Laanen; brother-in-law, Cyril Van Laanen and sister-in-law, Jackie; great grandson, Sawyer.
Visitation at Holy Cross-Bay Settlement, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, Tuesday August 19, from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
