Eugene "Gene" Eastman

July 22, 1941 — November 19, 2016

Eugene Chester Eastman, 75, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, while at home. Born July 22, 1941, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Chester and Dorothy (Cuskey) Eastman. Gene graduated from Preble High School in 1959. He went on to serve in the US Army during the mid 1960’s and returned home to marry his fishing and hunting partner and the love of his life, Judith Stanton on October 10, 1967, in Green Bay. They raised four children together. Gene worked his entire career at Procter and Gamble where he made many friends, served as a union representative and retired in 1996. Once retired, he was able to increase his time hunting, fishing, playing cards, spending summers in St. Germain, and time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and living on his homestead. Gene will be remembered as a generous, compassionate man that was always willing to help anyone in their time of need.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Judy; children, Sean Eastman (Kate LaPlant), Doreen Eastman (John Swelle), Coleen Eastman (Ric Vanden Heuvel), and Eric Eastman (Stacy); ten grandchildren, Michael, John and Jimmy, Marissa and Atticus, Myah and Hunter, and Lydia, Ella and Nora; sister, Joan Eastman Alberts; brother-in-law, Thomas (Donna) Stanton; Godchildren, Ramona Cooper, Gina Valentine and Rebecca Vanden Plas; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernard and David; sister, Gloria; parents-in-law, Raymond and Lois Stanton; and sister-in-law, Sharon Stanton.
