Elizabeth “Jean” Haynes, 86, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born December 13, 1934 in Oneida, daughter to the late Alfred and Marie (Van Laanen) Zepnick. She raised seven wonderful children who she was so very proud of. Jean worked at Bellin Health as a Physical Therapy Aide and retired in 1994. She married her soul mate and the true love of her life, Robert Haynes, on September 23, 2000. In their 20 years of marriage, they traveled to all 50 states and a dozen countries. They enjoyed snowmobiling, UTVing, camping, traveling and spending time with their kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Jean was also an avid gardener. Her flower beds were the envy of her daughters, friends and neighbors. Her favorite flowers were yellow roses and wildflowers.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Bob and her 7 children: Mike (Heidi) VandeWalle and their son: Michael VandeWalle; Sheri (Dean) Tuzinkewich and their children: Maria Van Laanen and Jason(Amber) Tuzinkewich; Pat (Char) VandeWalle and their children: Brent (Tracy) VandeWalle, Ryan (Heather) VandeWalle, Trina (Clinton) Martin, and Torey (Raechel) VandeWalle; Su (Dave) Sitterley and their daughter: Angela (Chris) Day; Dan (Jessica) VandeWalle and their children: Daniel, Andrew, Caralyn, and Liliana VandeWalle; Lisa (Tom) Honkanen and their children: Cassie (Steve) Cerny, Tommy Honkanen, and Kristopher (Caressa) Honkanen; and Jeanine (Bill) Govek and their children: Tyler and Kristin Govek; Bob’s daughter: Angie (Paul) Preimesberger and their children: Maya and Leigh Preimesberger; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; Jean’s siblings: Delores (Patrick) Thorton, Don (Jeanne) Zepnick; Sally (Mike) Wassenberg; Jerry (Judy) Zepnick, and Richard Zepnick.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by Bob’s daughter, Heidi Haynes and grandson, David Haynes; and her siblings: Florence (Robert) Leininger, Rita (Larry) Barrette; Robert Zepnick; Vernon Zepnick, Edward (Jean Ann) Zepnick, and Evelyn (Orville) Hendricks.
Family and friends may visit at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard, on Friday, September 24th for visitation from 11:00-1:00 p.m., and Holy Mass at 1:00 pm. Malcore (West) Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at
