Eileen Frances Bunker, 76, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at a local hospital. She was born September 11, 1942, in Oconto Co., WI, daughter to the late Joseph and Helen (Bourassa) Huisman. Eileen married Francis Bunker on April 27, 1963, in Oconto, and was employed as a secretary for NWTC.
Eileen and her husband enjoyed traveling. They had been to all 50 states and 6 out of the 7 continents. She also enjoyed reading, crafts, quilting, scrabble, and her monthly Bunco get-togethers with the girls. Eileen was a member of the American Cribbage Congress.
If you ever heard her say, “I never said that,” you best believe she said it.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Francis; 4 children: Cheryl (Scott) Parkos, Veseli, MN, Scott (Sheila) Bunker, De Pere, Chad (Don King), Milwaukee, and Stacie (Mark) Capstran, Oak Creek; 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Luke Capstran; brother and sisters: Patricia (Bob) Hansen, Green Bay, Wayne (Marlys) Huisman, Farmington, MN, and Roseanne Stephens, Frederick, MD.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her brothers Donald and Dean Huisman.
Special thanks to the 3rd floor ICU staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their care of and compassion for Eileen and her family. The family is also grateful to Michael and Victoria Davister for their seemingly endless help and support during this difficult time.
