Dr. Douglas L. Cook D.D.S. (92), of Suring, Wisconsin, died June 15, 2023, in Green Bay, after a short illness. Dr. Cook was born October 22, 1930, to Dr. Irving and Irene Cook of Gillett. Following graduation from Gillett High School, Dr. Cook attended Marquette School of Dentistry. Upon graduation from Marquette, Dr. Cook enlisted in the United States Air Force. While stationed in Germany, Dr. Cook met and married his wife, Irene Dorr, who was also serving in the Air Force. After his military service, Dr. Cook returned to Wisconsin and took over his father's dental practice in Breed. Dr. Cook had a passion for helping people through (painless) Dentistry, and holistic medicine for 62 years. Dr. Cook was fond of the saying "I don't have to practice Dentistry anymore, I know what I am doing!"
Dr. Cook is survived by his (4) sons; Dr. Bruce Cook DC of Suring; Ranger (Renee) Cook of Sun Valley, Idaho; Flint (Jody) Cook of Suring; and Staber (Jamie) Cook of Shawano. Dr. Cook is further survived by grandchildren; Brea (Eric) Murch, Ashley Cook, Kira and Miranda Cook. Great grandchildren; Morgan Huehnerfuss, Nicholas (Baylee) Boardman, Amari Cook, Mayla and Kaia Murch. Great great grandchild; Brynlee Boardman. Dr. Cook is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Dr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene, sister Amber (Bill) Schlosser, brother Ranger, and granddaughter Shawn Boardman.
A special thanks to Aurora Hospital Emergency Room staff, and 3rd floor ICU for their compassionate care. Per Dr. Cook's request, there will be no services.
