Dorothy "Dot" Conger

November 20, 1923 — November 10, 2023

Dorothy "Dot" Conger, 99, Suamico, passed away November 10, 2023. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School Class of 1941. She worked as a nurse's aide at Plymouth Hospital during WWII before being united in marriage to Lloyd Conger on September 26, 1942, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage in September 2008.  She greatly enjoyed being mother to her three children, Gary, Bruce, and Tana.  Also being a grandma to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. In 1955 Lloyd and Dorothy moved to Green Bay where they started their business Lift Parts Service Company. They worked together for many years with her as secretary, bookkeeper, girl friday, and Lloyd as a mechanic parts man and salesman.  After a few years the company grew and the name changed to Conger Industries Inc.  She served as secreatry and treasurer before retiring in 1975.  Dot spent years as a volunteer with Bellin Hospital Auxiliary.  She was also a member of Howard Suamico Lioness club for a number of years.  She was a long time member of St Paul's United Methodist Church.  Lloyd and she enjoyed fishing in wisconsin, especially "up north". at their cottage and also Wyoming and Alaska.  They also enjoyed many winters in their Ocala, FL home.  

She is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Gary Conger of Green Bay and special friend Dee Chan, Bruce (Kathy) Conger of Green Bay, and Tana Conger Winkka of Green Bay, WI; five grandchildren, Corey (Traci) Braun of Bonita Springs, FL, Koreena (Ross) Renard of New Franken, Scott (Jen) Conger of Oneida, Anika (Derrick) Capelle of Green Bay, and Chad (Jennifer) Winkka of Green Bay; ten great-grandchildren, Betsy (Nathan) Thibaudeau, Wesley, Eric, and Emily Renard, Sydnee and Jensen Braun, Anna Capelle,  Alyssa Conger, Carter and Ellison Winkka; fifteen great great grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in October 2008, and her parents Mr and Mrs Arthur Truttschel, three sisters in law, Ruth Joy, and Barbara Stone, Marian Ambeleng; four brothers in law, Eugene Vandoske, George Ambelang, Bud Harvey, and Bernard Conger; one sister Ruth Vandoske.

Visitation at St Paul Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave, Wednesday November 15, from 4 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of New Perspectives for their loving care.  Also, to Unity Hospice for their exceptional care.
