Donna M. Rickard

Donna M. Rickard, 84, Safety Harbor, FL formerly of Green Bay passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Born October 5, 1936, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Vernon and Marie (Smits) Vanderheyden. Donna is a graduate of East High School, Class of 1954. On Valentine’s Day, 1974, she married Stephen J. Rickard in Green Bay. Stephen preceded her in death on October 16, 2003. Donna was a faithful employee of FMC Corp for 30 years. Donna enjoyed her time volunteering at the Salvation Army, attending Learning in Retirement at UWGB, dancing and tending her flower garden. She had been blessed to spend her last 10 years at her home in Florida, including cheering on the Packers at the Varsity Club. Donna was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her children, Marcia (Bill) Kruger of Madison, Jeff (Lori) Butry of New Franken, Eileen (Ron) Jonet of Green Bay, Rosemary Rickard of Tampa, Mike (Betsy) Rickard of Green Bay; Grandchildren, Chavonne, Adam (Kaci), Nicole (fiance’ Jordan), Melanie (Brian), Ben (Kerri), Ryan, and MaKayla; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Lexi, Bella, and Bryce; one sister, Diane Marcelle of Madison; special niece, Kim (Ted) Schwartz and family; special friend, Gene Raschig; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stephen; daughter, Lisa Butry; and many other family members and close friends.

She was a special person that will be dearly missed by her family and her many “Floridian” friends.

Gathering of family and friends will be at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10am until the time of the service. Memorial service 12 noon on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the funeral home with Sr. Mary Peters, Pastoral Minister of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish officiating.
