Brett Michael Lucas, age 32 of Gillett, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on August 5, 1988 in Green Bay to Jose Cruz Jr. and Paula Lucas. He married his love Rosa Hansen on September 5th, 2020.
Brett attended high school in Oconto. Then went to NWTC to receive his welding degree. He worked as a laborer at American Metal Finishing. He attended both Mountain Apostolic Faith Mission in Mountain, and New Beginnings Ministries in Green Bay.
Brett enjoyed fishing, playing chess, painting, cooking, and smoking ribs, reading, and studying his Bible with his wife. He loved showing “his love of life” with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children teaching them life skills. Brett shared his love of music and love of the outdoors with his family. (He was Master of the “man bun”).
Those who will cherish Brett’s memory are his wife, Rosa Lucas; children, Willow, Paula Jean, Alethea, Konstance and Hesston; father, Jose (Trudy) Cruz Jr.; siblings, Randy (Kelly) Lucas, Catrina (Joe) Cruz, Adam (Jamie) Lucas and Isaac Peters; grandmother, Janet (Ken) Mier; grandfather, Jose Cruz Sr.; and great grandmother, Mavis Mier. Brett is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Lucas; grandfather, Randy; paternal grandmother, Darlene; and uncle, Angelo.
A celebration of life will be held for Brett at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Malcore Funeral Homes-East. Pastor Raymond Reed will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with services to follow.
