Bonnie (Bonnie) A. Burks 78, Green Bay, our dearly beloved mother, grandmother, sister quickly passed away on Monday, Jan. 27th. 2025 to her heavenly home. Bonnie was born in Green Bay, on September 27th.1946 to the late James and Helen Pigeon. She graduated from East High School on June 9th.1965 and received her Diploma from the School of Vocational and Adult Education in Practical Nursing on September 14th 1966. Bonnie was married to Purvis Burks 1969-72. Bonnie worked for the Green Bay School District as a custodian for 32 years. She loved to draw, go out to eat, read books, Classical, Mindbody and Soul music, pray and attend Mass.
Bonnie will always be remembered by her hard work, extreme kindness, unconditional love of prayer and generosity giving to many charities.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter Marguerite Burks, Green Bay; her son David, (Melissa) Burks, Oneida; her sister Jean Mariol, Fort Collins Co.; her brother Paul Pigeon, Pulaski WI; grandchildren Jonas Holshbach, Lamar Roskoski, Bailey Marquardt, Kevin Gallenburger, Nicole Stevenson.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her Mother and Father James and Helen Pigeon and her brother Anthony Pigeon.
Gathering time with family and friends will be held Thursday, May 8th 2025 at St Francis Xavier Cathedral 139 S. Madison St. from 10:00 A.M. until the mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with: Fr. Ryan Krueger facilitating. 12:00 lunch and Internment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
