Beverly "Bev" A. Speerschneider (Gibson)

Beverly "Bev" A. Speerschneider (Gibson), 98, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at a care facility. Born April 4, 1924, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late John and Jessie Gibson. Bev married Orville Speerschneider on June 4, 1949, and he preceded her in death on  February 16, 1979.  The couple started a family raising their two children, Patricia "Pat" and Keith. Bev worked for many years in food preparation in the school system, starting at Wequiock Elementary and eventually finishing her career as an assistant cook at Preble High School. In her younger years, Bev was an animal lover who had many pets throughout her life, mainly cats and dogs. She also enjoyed gardening and was a significant support to her aging relatives, many times putting their needs before her own. Bev was very active in Wequiock Presbyterian Church, serving several terms as a church Deacon. 

Beverly is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Lee) Resnick; one son, Keith Speerschneider;  one granddaughter, Jessica Resnick; cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Orville; one brother, Milton; and one sister, Beatrice (Maurice) Rasmussen; 

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Friday, March 3, 2023 from 1-3pm. Funeral service 3pm Friday, March 3, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Kamke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
