Betty Harrison

Elizabeth “Betty” Harrison of Green Bay, WI died peacefully on November 15, 2023, at the age of 98. She lived a long and fulfilling life before she passed into the hands of our Lord.

Betty was born on August 20, 1925, in Townsend, WI, the only child of Ben and Ruby Gratton. She also lived in Waupon before moving to Green Bay at the age of eight. She attended Annunciation grade school and graduated from Green Bay West High School.

She married Don Harrison on June 20, 1944, at Annunciation Church. After he returned from service in the Air Force in WWII, she and Don moved into their dream home on the West side of Green Bay where she lived for 75 years. They opened their home to her mother Ruby until she passed away in 2006 at the age of 99.

One of her greatest joys was the weekly visits from her grandsons and great-grandchildren. She took great pleasure in buying each of them special treats. She was an avid cook and baker and her family always enjoyed great meals and celebrations at the house.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Cathy Harrison; two grandchildren, Paul (Kris) and Scott (Emily) Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Michael, and Nicholas Harrison; a half-sister, Mary Ann Hanek; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Don; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Joseph Harrison.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Jude Catholic Church at 1420 Division Street, Green Bay, WI on Thursday, November 30, 2023, beginning at 9:00 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am.
