Bernice M. Besaw, age 92, of Green Bay passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018. Bernice was born July 13, 1926 to the late Norris and Rose (Christens) Terrien. On February 15, 1947, she married Frank J. Besaw at Annunciation Church. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Bernice worked as a bookkeeper at Nelson Machinery for 24 years and was very proud of her work there.
Bernice is survived by her two children: Ellen Greene and Patrick Besaw, both of Green Bay; one brother, Leroy (Claire) Terrien of Junction City, OR; sister-in-law, Rosemary DeKeyser and her brother-in-law, Maynard VanEss.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Frank; two sisters, Mabel (Roy) Beard, Florence “Dolly” (Orvis) Resler; one brother, Donald (Marie) Terrien; In-Laws: Jack and Nellie Besaw, Marge (Henry) Horkman, Dick Besaw, Gerry (Carol) Besaw, Donald (Anna Mae) Besaw; Robert (Cathy) Besaw; Patricia VanEss; nephew, Michael Terrien and niece, Mary Besaw-Johnson.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St Willebrord Parish, 209 S. Adams St, Green Bay, on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John P. MacCarthy, O. Praem presiding. Bernice will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospice.
