Bernadette L. Staddler, 94, Allouez, died peacefully, Sunday, December 8, 2013, at a local health care facility. Born in Green Bay, November 2, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Heuvelmans) Hermsen. She married Richard Staddler, February 14, 1975, at their home, and he preceded her in death January 23, 2000. Bernadette was the head of maintenance at St. Norbert College for many years until her retirement. She was a very active volunteer at St. Matthews Church, communion distributer at Bellin Hospital, choir member at St. Matthews and Resurrection Parishes, and was a performer in Lori’s Angels singing group. Bernadette enjoyed gardening, and times spent up at the cottage, as well as spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Sarah Frisbie of De Pere and Barbara Frisbie of Green Bay; 3 grandchildren, Joe (Lori) Frisbie of Green Bay, Jenny (Carl) Bloemer of De Pere, and Kristin (David) Fenlon of Suamico; 6 great grandchildren, Sam, Jackson, Ethan, Richelle, Addison, and Lauren; brother, Gerald (Peetie) Hermsen of Green Bay; further survived by other relatives and friends.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Staddler; sons, George and David Frisbie; many brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Visitation at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthews Street, Allouez, Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery next to her son David. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is caring for the family.
