Armella (Army) Tilot, 100, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025. She was born November 30, 1924, in Green Bay, daughter to the late Phil and Mabel (Simonet) Haevers. She graduated from East High School, and proudly served her country in the United States Army from 1945-1947. Armella married Richard (Dick) Tilot on November 6, 1948, and he preceded her in death. Together they owned and operated the 41 Truck Plaza in De Pere, WI. She was a very independent, humble woman who liked taking care of herself and never wanted to burden others. She was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

In her younger years, Army spent many summers at the cottage with her family where some of her favorite activities were boating, floating and sitting on the shore looking out over the water at the wonderful sunsets. She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and daily walks around her house to check on their growth, especially the numerous varieties of hosta plants she loved. Recently she enjoyed reading, puzzles and walking the halls at Oak Park Place. “No moss grows under those feet” was a frequent comment from residents and staff.

Survivors include her 5 children: Dennis Tilot, (special friend Debbie) De Pere; Dr. Thomas Tilot, McHenry, IL; Susan (John) Widmer, Luxemburg; Nancy Goetz, Marshfield; and Cynthia (Steve) Delsart, Crivitz; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; Russ (Susan) Tilot, sons Derrick and Brett Tilot; Steven (Shelley) Tilot; Eric Tilot, son Aithen Tilot (special friends Ashley and Avery); Bill (Jessica) Widmer, daughter Juniper Widmer; Tom (Tasha) Widmer, children Aden, Ryker and Delaney Widmer; Abby Widmer (Adam Bernander); Andy (Shanna) Goetz, daughters Veda, Reva and Everly Goetz; Toby (Stephanie) Goetz, children Myles and Willa Goetz; Jason (Laura) Goetz, children Waylon, Kellan and Nyah Goetz; Brett (Hailee) Delsart, daughter Diana Delsart; Trisha (Henry) Bernard, daughter Scarlett Bernard; Sisters-in-law, Arletta LaHue, Irene Tilot and Darlene Tilot; Nieces, Betty, Patty, Phyllis and Ruth; further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
