Tony Spice

March 28, 1952 - August 14, 2021

Anthony Paul “Tony” Spice, 69, Amberg, formerly of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was a loving and caring father, husband, brother and friend, but the one he enjoyed being the most was Papa. Born March 28, 1952, in Oconto Falls, he is the son of the late Milo and Nelda (Post) Spice. Tony is a graduate of Oconto Falls High School, Class of 1970 where he loved playing football, basketball, and track. Tony married the love of his life Lou Ann Marchant, September 20, 1975, at St. Mary’s of the Angels Church. Tony enjoyed and loved many things in his life and retiring to the North woods with Lou Ann made his dream come true. It brought him tremendous joy to sit at the end of the dock and fish with his grandchildren. Driving his John Deere tractor around the property brought a smile to his face…and yes, Dad, we will remember to wash it after every use. In addition to his family, Tony was also proud to have worked with so many amazing people at Tosca LTD. He started there in 1980 and retired in 2014. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lou Ann; his children for whom he had extreme pride, Tammy Spice, Josh (Dana) Spice; and RaeAnn (Greg) Sigmund; and his grandchildren who filled him with pride and joy, Connor and Mackenzie Sandifer, Gavin, Miles and Alayna Spice, Logan, Noah, and Alexis Sigmund; siblings, Pat (Cathy) Spice, Terry Spice, Carol Spice, and Angela (Robert) Coppens; mother-in-law, Lucille Enz; sisters-in-law, Carol Rose, Joanne Stiebs, and Judi (Harold) LuMaye; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Peter Spice, Michael Spice, and Karen Washburn. Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 4pm until the time of the funeral service at 7pm with Father John Hephner officiating. Tony fought hard these past 18 years with some form of cancer or another. He was definitely our Superman! The family extends a special thank you to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center; Dr. Dhimart Patel and staff, Dr. Rohde and staff; Dr. Snyder and staff; The staff of Unity Hospice and his nurse Cheryl; and his countless other doctors and staff that gave us all this extra time with Tony. A very special thank you to his life-long friend, “Cartoon”.
