Tim R. Kniess

Tim R. Kniess, 47, Green Bay, passed away late Wednesday evening, August 25, 2021, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born December 5, 1973, in Green Bay, he is the son of Ronald (Judy) Kniess and the late Lois (Ristow) Kniess. Tim married Michelle Mellberg on August 9, 1997, at Voyager Park. He enjoyed having coffee and crib with his nephew, Matt, every morning. Tim was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He loved watching his Hallmark movies, his crime shows, listening to Country music, front porch sittin’ while watching the neighborhood, having fires in the backyard and cheering on the Packers. Most importantly, Tim adored his family, going to their sporting events and watching them as they grew to adulthood.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Michelle; children, Dustin Mellberg (significant other, Samantha Perryman), Carrigan Kniess, and Dakota Kniess (significant other, Jenna Wendt), brothers, Mark Kniess and Ted Kniess; his dad, Ronald (Judy) Kniess; numerous fur babies; many nieces, nephews, and his foster brother, Bobby Knight and his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois; sister, Cassie Vandenhoy; brother, Dale Kniess; in-laws, Marion and Jerry Mellberg; grandparents, aunts, uncles and many pets.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at Tim and Michelle’s home, 308 S. Jackson Street, on Saturday, September 11 at 1:00pm.

The family extends a very special thank you to the wonderful staff of the ICU at St. Vincent Hospital.
