Robert “Woody” Woodford, 68, Pembine, passed away late Monday morning, Sept. 14, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. Born July 5, 1947, in Bay Settlement, he is the son of the late Roy, Sr. and Martha (Wagner) Woodford. Robert was very proud of serving his country fighting for the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Lois Marie Lambert, on Oct. 5, 1974, in Green Bay. Robert was employed as an electrician with Procter and Gamble for many years. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of watching NASCAR, golfing, fishing, camping and working in the workshop.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of nearly 41 years, Lois; one son, Adam Woodford; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Brent Hendricks; four grandchildren, Hannah and Brett Edwards and Blake and Ava Hendricks; one brother, Don Woodford; two sisters, Bev (Gene) Miller and Shirley Jacobs; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Maria) Lambert and Toby (Sue) Lambert; five sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Couillard, Carol (Terry) Young, Sharon Lambert, Florence Lambert and Sophie Woodford; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend of 58 years, Dan Besson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willard (Ida Mae), Al, and Roy Woodford; one sister, Marlene (Jim) Zeller; father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Myrul Lambert; four brothers-in-law, Dick Lambert, Jim (Jenn and Theresa) Lambert, Don Jacobs, and Jack Couillard; one sister-in-law, Virginia Woodford.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday, Sept. 17th from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm, led by the Sullivan Wallen American Legion Post 11. Funeral service 11am Friday, Sept. 18th in the Chapel of Allouez Catholic Cemetery followed by full military honors. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
