Robert "Bob" Maccaux Sr.

October 10, 1930 — November 12, 2015

Robert W. Maccaux, Sr., 85, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Nov. 12, 2015, at the Unity Hospice Meng Residence. Born October 10, 1930, in Detroit, he is the son of the late William and Evelyn (Parisot) Maccaux. Bob faithfully served in the U.S. Army from 1949 until 1952 during the Korean War. He married the former Darlene Joyce Manteufel on June 13, 1953, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Green Bay, and she preceded him in death on October 10, 2007. Bob was employed as a mason with Maccaux Construction and later with Foeller Construction. He also enjoyed serving on the City of Green Bay Zoning and Variance Committee. Bob loved his time making booyah at many local churches and local activities with ”Bob’s Booyah Bunch”. He enjoyed his breakfasts with his many friends at McDonalds each morning and cheering on the Pack. Bob liked to entertain with his musical abilities. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and would light-up whenever they would walk into the room.

Bob is survived by four children, Terry (Scott) Lambert, De Pere, Robert, Jr., Green Bay, Douglas (Theresa), Salem, and William II (Laura), Green Bay; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Maccaux, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law, Judy Raygo, Marinette, Dorothy “Dee” Manteufel, Green Bay and Cherie Manteufel, Green Bay; two aunts, Margaret Wynn, Green Bay and Mildred “Millie” Kraft, Green Bay; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; parents; sister, Margaret Collar; and numerous other family members.

Visitation at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry Street, Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 9am until the time of the funeral. Funeral service, 11am at the church with Pastor David Hatch officiating. Full military honors at church following the funeral. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Bob’s family extends a special thank you to Randy Korth for both the friendship and devotion shown to our Dad; John Mazzariello for his excellent care. We are very appreciative of the compassionate staff of Unity Hospice for all their outstanding care. Also, thank you to the many, many friends and family that looked in on and cared for our Dad over the last few years. And...
