Ramona (Breth) Mead, 88, Green Bay, passed away August 27, 2014. Born on May 31, 1926, she is the daughter of the late R.C. and Helen (Hill) Breth. Ramona married Jack Mead on January 19, 1946, at Grace Lutheran Church.
As a homemaker Ramona found time to volunteer with many programs over the years. She volunteered with Meals On Wheels, Woodside Lutheran Home Bazaar, Jackson School PTA, Vial of Life Program, and the Jolly Jills which later became the Homemakers Club. Her greatest passion (besides her family) was her sewing. She made clothes for her children and grandchildren. Ramona helped make quilts for Mission Sewing at Grace Lutheran Church and she made each one of her great grandchildren a cross stitch picture signed, dated, and framed.
Ramona is survived by her three children, Steven (Marilyn) Mead, Nancy (Thomas) Noth, and Kathleen (Keith) Konshak all of Green Bay; son-in-law, Thomas Prokash; daughter-in-law, Margaret (Mead) Ryerson; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Schiller, and Iris (Marshall) Guelker; one sister-in-law, Kay Breth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Marjorie) Mead, and Eugene (Patricia) Mead; nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sandra Prokash; son, John Mead; brothers, Richard and Herbert; sisters, Aileen and Gloria; brothers and sister-in-law, Don Tremel, Emmett Jahnke, Ken “Bud” Schiller, Vern Marauskis, and Joyce Breth.
Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Friday, August 29, from 4 PM until the time of funeral service at 7 PM. Entombment in Nicolet Memorial Garden.
Ramona's family is greatly appreciative of all the extra heartfelt care and attention that Nicky Jenken provided to our mother on a daily basis.
