Patricia “Pat” A. Widen, 75, Green Bay, died peacefully at her home on October 7, 2013, as a result of renal cancer. She was born on September 28, 1938, in Appleton. On September 17, 1960, she married James Widen, Sr., in Janesville, WI.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, James, Sr.; three children, Catherine Widen, Carol (Christopher) Sorrells, and James (Melissa) Widen, Jr.; two grandchildren, Ethan and Cole; sister and brother-in-law, Gail (Robert) Heath; brother and sister-in-law, Neil (Sue) Macrorie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and bridge partners.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home & Crematory, University Ave. at Baird St., Friday from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at Christ Community Lutheran Church, 1742 Servant Way, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial service 11:00 a.m Saturday at the church with the Rev. Cindy Warmbier-Meyer officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the family, friends, and caregivers that helped Pat through the past year.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
