Nancy K. (Sheffer) Van, 69, Green Bay, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born May 1, 1944, in Abrams, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Zuelke) Just. Nancy is a graduate of East De Pere High School, Class of 1962. She had worked for 25 years in the office at Northwest Engineering and later served as a secretary for First Evangelical Lutheran Church until her retirement in December of 2007. Nancy will be remembered as a sweet, compassionate and caring person who loved her church, reading her Bible, gardening and enjoying the sunshine.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Vicky Sheffer; three grandchildren, Tachi Terens, Brian Mazur and Brad Mazur; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Marilyn Just, Rochester, MN; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marilyn Kaye, Sturgeon Bay and Sandy and Butch Rosner, Pound; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd Sheffer and Richard Van; daughter, Debbie Sheffer; and brother-in-law, Ed Kaye.
Visitation at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 9am until the time of the funeral. Funeral 11am Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the church with Pastor Paul D. Schleis officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
